The ultra-high vacuum system for Lithium intercalation characterization and moisture detection is designed for ex-situ tests of electrode materials for Li-ion batteries and solid electrolytes. It measures Li diffusion rate, activation energy, storage capacity, oxidation processes, chemical purity, ionic and metallic state of the Li atoms in the host structure, surface crystallography changes and residual moisture contents. The results are up-front performance indicators and failure analysis.
